Niagara Nepali Samaj (NNS) is a vibrant community organization dedicated to serving the Nepali diaspora in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada. Established by residents who share a deep connection to Nepali culture, language, and traditions, our mission is to foster unity, mutual respect, and cooperation among Nepali individuals and families while promoting awareness of our rich heritage. NNS provides a platform for social, cultural, educational, and community-driven initiatives, helping newcomers and members navigate their journey in Canada. Through various programs, we aim to support the well-being, development, and inclusion of all members, ensuring a thriving and connected community for generations to come.

Before its formal establishment, the community spirit that led to the creation of NNS was already active and impactful. In the aftermath of the devastating 2015 earthquake in Nepal, community members came together to raise and send funds to support relief and recovery efforts. Since 2012, members of the Nepali community in the Niagara region have also been celebrating major Nepali cultural festivals, such as Teej, Dashain and Tihar, showcasing the richness of Nepali traditions and fostering a strong sense of identity and unity. These early contributions laid the foundation for what would become a committed and culturally vibrant organization ‘Niagara Nepali Samaj’.
