NNS Holds AGM with Blood/Plasma Donation Drive and Nepali New Year Greetings

The Niagara Nepali Samaj successfully concluded its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, featuring a blood donation drive, sponsor recognition, and the exchange of best wishes on the occasion of Nepali New Year 2083.

Organized with the aim of strengthening unity, collaboration, and social responsibility within the community, the event witnessed notable participation from Nepali residents across the Niagara region. Attendees exchanged New Year greetings, fostering a spirit of goodwill, connection, and cultural pride.

The blood/plasma donation program, conducted in collaboration with Canadian Blood Services saw encouraging participation. The initiative highlighted the community’s strong commitment to humanitarian service and set an inspiring example for other communities and organizations to follow.

On this occasion, individuals and organizations who provided financial and in-kind support, as well as those who contributed to the success of the event, were honored with certificates of appreciation. Additionally, the winner of the Valentine’s Day Love Letter Writing Competition, was recognized with a certificate and a cash prize.

During the AGM, the organization presented a comprehensive review of its activities over the past year, including organizational and financial reports, progress updates, and future plans. Members of the executive committee delivered reports based on their respective responsibilities and outlined upcoming programs. NNS reaffirmed its commitment to prioritizing the welfare of the Nepali community, maintaining financial transparency, fostering collaboration, and upholding values of ethics and integrity as core organizational principles.

NNS extended its gratitude to all three levels of the Canadian government for creating a safe and respectful environment for Nepali and other immigrant communities to thrive. It emphasized the importance of reciprocating this support by being disciplined, responsible, and respectful citizens.
