Niagara Nepali Samaj (NNS) joyfully celebrated the vibrant Teej Festival on August 23, 2025, uniting members of the local Nepali community for an evening rich with tradition, music, dance, and heartfelt camaraderie. The festive gathering took place at the Gale Centre in Niagara Falls and welcomed approximately 150 attendees. Teej is a significant festival for Nepali women. The event showcased a series of captivating solo, pair, and group dance performances set to traditional Teej and folk songs. The stage came alive with energy and color as women adorned in red saris and classic Teej attire performed with grace and enthusiasm. Adding to the festive spirit, a lively male group dance on the popular Nepali song “Hami pani nachnu parchha bichha bichha maa” added a fun and entertaining twist, receiving enthusiastic cheers from the audience. Guests were also treated to a variety of authentic Nepali dishes, prepared to reflect the flavors of home and enhance the cultural experience of the evening. The joyful atmosphere, rhythmic music, and communal celebration created an unforgettable evening for all in attendance.

As a token of appreciation, organizers distributed surprise gifts to all women participants, acknowledging their presence and participation. The event wrapped up on a high note with a lucky draw, where two lucky winners received prizes sponsored by Mamta’s Boutique and Chauhan Jewellers. Niagara Nepali Samaj extended heartfelt thanks to all sponsors and supporters. Special recognition was given to Realtor Hem Pandey of Realty Inc.
